Tufail, brother of Aisha, reported: He saw in a dream that he passed by a group of Jews and he said, “Who are you?” They said, “We are Jews.” He said, “You are a good people if you do not claim Ezra is the son of Allah.” They said, “You are a good people if you do not say: What Allah wills and Muhammad wills.” Then he passed by a group of Christians and he said, “Who are you?” They said, “We are Christians.” He said, “You are a good people if you do not say the Messiah is the son of Allah.” They said, “You are a good people if you do not say: What Allah wills and Muhammad wills.” When he awoke in the morning, he told some people about his dream. Then he came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he told him about it. The Prophet said, “Have you told anyone?” He said yes. So when the Prophet prayed and delivered the sermon to them, he praised and thanked Allah and he said, “Verily, Tufail has seen a dream and he told some of you about it. You used to say a word which I did not prohibit for you out of shyness, but now do not say: What Allah wills and Muhammad wills.”

عَنْ طُفَيْلِ بْنِ سَخْبَرَةَ أَخِي عَائِشَةَ لِأُمِّهَا أَنَّهُ رَأَى فِيمَا يَرَى النَّائِمُ كَأَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِرَهْطٍ مِنْ الْيَهُودِ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَنْتُمْ قَالُوا نَحْنُ الْيَهُودُ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ أَنْتُمْ الْقَوْمُ لَوْلَا أَنَّكُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ عُزَيْرًا ابْنُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَتْ الْيَهُودُ وَأَنْتُمْ الْقَوْمُ لَوْلَا أَنَّكُمْ تَقُولُونَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَشَاءَ مُحَمَّدٌ ثُمَّ مَرَّ بِرَهْطٍ مِنْ النَّصَارَى فَقَالَ مَنْ أَنْتُمْ قَالُوا نَحْنُ النَّصَارَى فَقَالَ إِنَّكُمْ أَنْتُمْ الْقَوْمُ لَوْلَا أَنَّكُمْ تَقُولُونَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللَّهِ قَالُوا وَإِنَّكُمْ أَنْتُمْ الْقَوْمُ لَوْلَا أَنَّكُمْ تَقُولُونَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَمَا شَاءَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ أَخْبَرَ بِهَا مَنْ أَخْبَرَ ثُمَّ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ هَلْ أَخْبَرْتَ بِهَا...
