Quran’s Lesson - Surah Al-Ana’m 6, Verse 140, Part 8
Indeed lost are they who have killed their children, from folly, without knowledge, and have forbidden that which Allah has provided for them, inventing a lie against Allah. They have indeed gone astray and were not guided.
[Al-Quran 6:140]

Some people are dead

Some people are dead but their character has kept them alive, while others are alive but their character has killed them.

Fasting is a shield,

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Fasting is a shield, so whoever fasts should not have sexual relations, nor behave ignorantly. If someone fights with him or abuses him, he should say twice: Indeed, I am fasting. By the one in whose hand is my soul, the smell coming from the mouth of a fasting person is better to Allah than musk. Allah says: He has left his food, drink, and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me, so I will reward him for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied by ten like it.”

When you hear the Adhan,

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
I heard the Messenger of Allah () saying, "When you hear the Adhan, repeat what the Mu'adhdhin says. Then ask Allah to exalt my mention because everyone who does so will receive in return ten rewards from Allah. Then beseech Allah to grant me Al-Wasilah, which is a high rank in Jannah, fitting for only one of Allah's slaves; and I hope that I will be that man. If any one asks Al-Wasilah for me, it becomes incumbent upon me to intercede for him."
