'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (May Allah be pleased with them) said:
The Prophet (SAW) said, "Whosoever possesses these four characteristics, is a sheer hypocrite; and anyone who possesses one of them, possesses a characteristic of hypocrisy till he gives it up. (These are:) When he talks, he tells a lie; when he makes a covenant, he acts treacherously; and when he quarrels, he utters foul language."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
وعن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص رضي الله عنهما، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "أربع من كن فيه كان منافقًا خالصًا، ومن كانت فيه خصلة منهن كانت فيه خصلة من نفاق حتى يدعها: إذا أؤتمن خان، وإذا حدث كذب، وإذا عاهد غدر، وإذا خاصم فجر"
((متفق عليه))

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "During the Mi'raj (the Night of Ascension), I saw a group of people who were scratching their chests and faces with their copper nails. I asked, 'Who are these people, O Jibril?' Jibril replied: 'These are the people who ate flesh of others (by backbiting) and trampled people's honour."'
[Abu Dawud].
عن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “لما عُرج بي مررت بقوم لهم أظفار من نُحاس يخمشون وجوههم وصدورهم، فقلت: من هؤلاء يا جبريل؟ قال: هؤلاء الذين يأكلون لحوم الناس، ويقعون في أعراضهم!”.
((رواه أبو داود.))
