The light of the sun is due to a chemical process on its surface that has been taking place continuously for the past five billion years. It will come to an end at some point of time in the future when the sun will be totally extinguished leading to extinction of all life on earth. Regarding the impermanence of the sun’s existence the Qur’aan says: "And the Sun Runs its course For a period determined For it; that is The decree of (Him) The exalted in Might, The All-Knowing." [Al-Qur’aan 36:38] [A similar message is conveyed in the Qur’an in 13:2, 35:13, 39:5 and 39:21]

The Arabic word used here is mustaqarr, which means a place or time that is determined. Thus the Qur’aan says that the sun runs towards a determined place, and will do so only up to a pre-determined period of time –

One of God's secrets bestowed in DNA is that nobody can have DNA similar to another one, therefore it is considered as a perfect genetic fingerprint to identify any person and distinguish him form others.

One of the news drawing attention, is that it is possible from now on to build an imagined shape for an accused person in a crime in a better way depending on remnants carrying his DNA like saliva on a cup of coffee, or a husk from his skin. These remnants are enough to determine the outer characteristics like the color of the hair and skin. This possibility was discovered by coincidence in a study about cancer conducted by joint Icelandic-Dutch team.

Professor Part Kimnai form the Medical Center, Radobaut, in Nijmegen (East of Netherland) had presented the Dutch data needed by the Icelandic team to check the results they have reached. Professor Kimnai explained how was the discovery done by saying that people of Iceland care a lot about skin cancer and give it big importance, while they were comparing the genetic data for some types of skin cancer we have obtained in Nijmegen with a type of skin which we also have, and suddenly a strong connection between both was obtained.

The comparison between the data aids in saying that there is a relationship between the genes that determine the color of skin or eyes. The scientists, from one person's data, had managed to discover the color of the hair (blond or black), the color of eyes and skin.

This can not be identified 100% but the relationship is strong enough to precisely describe a person who was completely unknown.

This was not sheer simple scientific discovery as this kind of research (depending on the DNA) opens new doors in crime control.

Professor Kimnai explained how the current criminal investigations are carried out based on DNA by saying that the procedure followed in the past is that if you find an evidence left by the accused in the place of the crime and these evidences carry his tissue or DNA or anything else like that then it is necessary to compare this substance with the DNA saved in the criminal information bank and wait to find out if the accused is one of them in order to know the person's full identity by the computer. If the DNA was not in the criminal bank then the police will have many troubles and it will be difficult for them to identify the real criminal.

However, with the new discovery, it is possible to identify the color of the hair, eyes and skin of the criminal even if he has no record at the criminal bank. This certainly differs from identifying the criminal by name and address as the determination of the color of eyes, skin and hair can greatly serve the police during investigation.

An illustrating picture for the DNA, which is a double stranded chain and contains 3000000000 information, and has all the systems that ensure the proper functioning of the cell, indeed it is one of the miracles created by Allah, all praises to him as this superior accuracy in design can not be accidental. It is fair to challenge the disbelievers by asking them to prove that this precise design came by coincidence?

WHAT DOES THIS DISCOVERY MEAN?

This discovery is added to the numerous discoveries that testify the oneness of Allah, the Almighty. The previously mentioned study reveals that we have inside our cells complicated systems and information which act as a base for the sperm to develop in the womb, then depending on the information that Allah put in the DNA, the hair and skin colors are determined as well as all the features of the embryo.

It is a process that deserves contemplation and thinking. Therefore, Allah, the Exalted ordered us to look at the origin of our creation, all praises to Him says: "So let man see from what he is created! He is created from a water gushing forth. Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs. Verily, (Allâh) is Able to bring him back (to life)!" (5-8 At Tariq).

This discovery counteracts the theory of coincidence and random claimed by the disbelievers because the coincidence can never arrange the information inside the DNA in this precise and calculated pattern. Moreover, the blind nature can not guide the cell in its function starting from sperm till the death of the human being! The lack of presence of any deformity in cell functioning (except in rare cases) gives an evidence that the creator of these cells had perfectly made this creation, as He the Almighty says: "The Work of Allâh, Who perfected all things, verily He is Well-Acquainted with what you do" (88: An Naml). Also says: "That is He: the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. *Who made everything He has created good and He began the creation of man from clay *Then He made his offspring from semen of despised water (male and female sexual discharge)* Then He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him the soul (created by Allâh for that person); and He gave you hearing (ears), sight (eyes) and hearts. Little is the thanks you give!". (6-9 AsSajdah).

There is a significant matter to be mentioned, that the disbelievers deny the day of judgment and say how can Allah account his slaves for every small and big thing, and they may mock of the verse: "And the Book (one’s Record) will be placed, and you will see the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners), fearful of that which is (recorded) therein. They will say: "Woe to us! What sort of Book is this that leaves neither a small thing nor a big thing, but has recorded it with numbers!" And they will find all that they did, placed before them, and your Lord treats no one with injustice" (49 Al Kahf). So, they deny the way of recording every act done by the person in a clear book and how this book will be showed to us in the day of resurrection and we answer them that if the genetic chain is having so many information that can be documented in volumes, then how could be the knowledge of Allah the Exalted who created all the human beings?!

In this regard, we have to mention how our hands, legs and skins will bear witness on us as the information are stored in every cell of our body, this also include the events and the words we say. A new study had revealed the presence of cellular memory especially the skin cells, this is manifested in the following verse: "And (remember) the Day that the enemies of Allâh will be gathered to the Fire, then they will be driven [(to the Fire), former ones being withheld till their later ones will join them* Till, when they reach it (Hell-fire), their hearing (ears) and their eyes, and their skins will testify against them as to what they used to do. And they will say to their skins, "Why do you testify against us?" They will say: "Allâh has caused us to speak as He causes all things to speak: and He created you the first time, and to Him you are made to return.". (19-21 Fussilat). In another chapter, Allah the Exalted says: "On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their legs (or feet) will bear witness against them as to what they used to do" (24 An Nur). Moreover, all praises to him says: "This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn" (65 Yasin).

These valuable verses confirm that every part of our body (the tongue, skin, legs and hands) will speak on the day of resurrection to bear witness on their owners.

Finally, if the scientists were able to find out some of person's characters through his DNA, then Allah the Almighty is well acquainted with every small and big thing we do and he will account us for it, he the Exalted says: "And We have fastened every man’s deeds to his neck, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall bring out for him a book which he will find wide open* Read your book. You yourself are sufficient as a reckoner against you this Day" (13-14 Al Isra'a).

We ask the Almighty to make us benefited from these studies and to have lessons from it and not just reading them without benefits. He, the Exalted says: "And remind for verily, the reminding profits the believers" (55 Athariyat).

Scientists lately discovered that there are pulsating stars that produce hammer-like sounds. Therefore they called them "Cosmic Hammers’. They also noticed that these stars produce gravity waves that penetrate anything! This is what the Glorious Quran informed us about in Sura al-Tariq 86:1-3, ‘By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein); And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- (It is) the Star of piercing brightness.’ We can only glorify Allah, the Almighty, when we read this Quranic miracle!

After the discovery of that the Earth is spherical, it became evident that in every moment there is a point where the sun rises from and another point in the West where the sun sets. When the sun rises on a specific point on earth it sets in another point on the West. This is due to the earth's rotation around itself. Therefore, there is an infinite number from East and West points. This fact is alluded to in the Glorious Quran Surat Al-Maarij 70:40, ‘Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West …’ All glory is due to Allah, the Almighty.
