Why Do We Believe in the Existence of God?

Everywhere around you, there are signs that this universe did not come into existence without purpose.

When you see a book, you know it has an author.

When you see a house, you know it has a builder.

When you see a painting, you know it has an artist.

So what about this vast and finely tuned universe?

How does the sun rise every day with such precision?

How do the laws of nature operate with remarkable consistency?

And how was the human being created with such complexity that scientists are still uncovering its mysteries?

A sound and natural human disposition points to the existence of a Wise and Powerful Creator behind this universe.

Allah says in the Qur'an:

"Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?" (Qur'an 52:35)

The real question is not: Does a Creator exist?

The real question is: Have we taken the time to know Him?

Scientists explain the beginning of the universe in a theory called "Big Bang". They say that the whole universe was one mass, and exploded spreading the substance, forming the galaxies and stars.

But they have found that the universe has web-like structure! So, they speak about "cosmic web".

The Holy Quran refer to this fact in Surah Al-Anbiya'a, Allah All Mighty says:

“Do not the Unbelievers see That the heavens and the earth Were joined together (as one Unit of Creation), before We clove them asunder?” [Al-Anbiya'a 21:30].
