Tafseer

In Tafseer of "Definitely with difficulty comes ease," (Surah Inshiraa, verses 5-6), I narrated the story of Umm Salama losing her husband and her patience and then the prophet (peace be upon him) proposing to her.
However, narrating this story filled me with sadness. How far have we drifted that we don't even think like the prophet did, leave alone act like he did! The prophet (peace be upon him)and the Sahaba would not leave any widow or divorcee unmarried, they would propose to them as soon as the iddah was over. There are many stories like this in the Seerah.
They had a strong sense of social responsibility towards them and so you would rarely hear of female Sahaba who had to live as divorcees or widows.
Today, this Sunnah is so dead in many places, that if anybody tries to revive it, they tend to be vilified and treated like sinners and people judge their motives. Even those men who do talk about polygamy, many only want younger second wives and won't consider a divorcee or widow.
How far have we drifted from the way of thinking of our beloved prophets and role models?

hadith

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him)
reported: The Messenger of Allah ( ) said, "Three supplications are answered without doubt. The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveller, and the supplication of the parent for his son." [At- Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud]

SOME ESSENTIAL POINTS ON ABLUTION(WUDU)!

SOME ESSENTIAL POINTS ON ABLUTION(WUDU)!

-Among the undesirable things is speaking during ablution(wudu) and splashing the face with water. Others also objected to the use of towels after ablution saying that the water used in the act is weighed(on the day of resurrection) this was said by both S'aid ibn al-musayyab and al zuhri [Tadkirat al huffaz]

-BUT Mu'adh related that the apostle himself wiped his face [after ablution] with the end of his garment.[Al-tirmidhi,Taharah] (the authenticity of this narration has been doubted. Imam tirmidhi himself in narrating the tradition, casts doubts on it's authenticity)

-Aisha Radi'Allahu anhu also related that He(sallahu alaihi wasallam) had a towel which he used for ablution [ibid, taharah]

hadith

The Prophet (sallallähu alaihi wasallam) said, "A good dream is from Allah, and a bad or evil dream is from satan; so if anyone of you has a bad dream of which he gets afraid, he should spit on his left side and should seek Refuge with Allah from its evil, for then it will not harm him."
