Daily Hadith – 157

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ مَنْ غَدَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ وَرَاحَ أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُ نُزُلَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ كُلَّمَا غَدَا أَوْ رَاحَ

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah will prepare for him who goes to the mosque (every) morning and in the afternoon (for the congregational prayer) an honorable place in Paradise with good hospitality for (what he has done) every morning and afternoon goings.”

ابوہریرہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ نے فرمایا جو شخص صبح اور شام دونوں وقت مسجد جائے اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے لئے جنت سے اس کی اسی قدر مہمانی مہیا کرے گا وہ صبح شام جب بھی مسجد میں جائے۔

WHY DO MUSLIMS TAKE THE NAME OF EMPEROR AKBAR WHILE CALLING PEOPLE TO PRAY?

Ans:

1. Non Muslim misunderstand that Emperor Akbar’s name is taken in Adhaan

There was a conference in Kerala, a non-Muslim minister spoke just before my speech. He was highlighting the achievements of the Indian Muslims and their role in the progress of India. He said that amongst the Indian kings, the greatest was Emperor Akbar. No wonder the Muslims take his name five times a day, while calling people to pray. During my speech however, I clarified this misconception.

2. The ‘Akbar’ word of the Adhaan has nothing to do with Emperor Akbar

The word ‘Akbar’ mentioned in the Adhaan which is given to call people to pray has nothing to do with Emperor Akbar of India.The words in the Adhaan were used centuries before the birth of Emperor Akbar.

3. ‘Akbar’ means ‘Great’

The Arabic word ‘Akbar’ means ‘great’. When we say ‘Allahu Akbar’ in the Adhaan we proclaim that ‘Allah is Great’ or ‘Allah is the Greatest’ and we call people to worship the one and only Allah who is the Greatest.

4. Adhaan Is An Internations Anthem Of Muslims

An International anthem of some more than 1000 million Muslims of the world.Adhaan which is given to call people to Salah(praying) for five time in a day, and its(Adhaan) same and exactly given throughout the world. This means in English.

“Allah is Greatest.

I bear witness that there is no other object of worship but Allah.
I bear witness that there is no other object of worship but Allah.

I bear witness that Mohammed is the Messenger of Allah.
I bear witness that Mohammed is the Messenger of Allah.

Come to prayer.
Come to prayer.

Come to Success.
Come to Success.

Allah is Greatest.
Allah is Greatest.
There is no other object of worship but Allah.”

وَكَتَبْنَا لَهُ فِي الْأَلْوَاحِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَوْعِظَةً وَتَفْصِيلًا لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَخُذْهَا بِقُوَّةٍ وَأْمُرْ قَوْمَكَ يَأْخُذُوا بِأَحْسَنِهَا ۚ سَأُرِيكُمْ دَارَ الْفَاسِقِينَ

And We wrote for him on the Tablets the lesson to be drawn from all things and the explanation of all things (and said): Hold unto these with firmness, and enjoin your people to take the better therein. I shall show you the home of Al-Fasiqun (the rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

اور اس کے لئے ہم نے تختیوں میں ہر طرح کی نصیحت اور ہر ایک بات کی تفصیل لکھ دی ہے اور (حکم دیا) اس پر مضبوطی سے عمل کرو اور اپنی قوم کو بھی حکم دو کہ وہ ان پر اچھی طرح عمل کریں۔ عنقریب میں تمہیں فاسقوں کا گھر دکھلاؤں گا۔

Daily Hadith – 156

عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ سُئِلَ أَنَسٌ هَلِ اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَاتَمًا فَقَالَ نَعَمْ، أَخَّرَ لَيْلَةً صَلاَةَ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ بَعْدَ مَا صَلَّى فَقَالَ صَلَّى النَّاسُ وَرَقَدُوا وَلَمْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلاَةٍ مُنْذُ انْتَظَرْتُمُوهَا قَالَ فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ

Narrated Humaid: Anas was asked: “Did Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) wear a ring?” He said: “Yes. Once he delayed the `Isha' prayer till midnight and after the prayer, he faced us and said: ‘The people prayed and have slept and you remained in prayer as long as you waited for it.’” Anas added: “As if I were just now observing the glitter of his ring.”

حمید روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انس سے پوچھا گیا کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انگوٹھی پہنی تھی یا نہیں انہوں نے کہا کہ ایک رات آپ نے عشاء کی نماز نصف شب تک دیر کر دی پھر نماز پڑھنے کے بعد آپ نے اپنا منہ ہماری طرف کیا اور فرمایا کہ لوگ نماز پڑھ کر سو دیئے لیکن جب تک انتظار میں رہے گویا نماز میں رہے انس کہتے ہیں گویا میں اب بھی آپ کی انگوٹھی کی چمک دیکھ رہا ہوں۔
