In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Indeed successful are those believers

who are humble in their Salah (prayers),

who avoid vain talk,

who are punctual in the payment of Zakah (charity),

And who guard their modesty

Quran’s Lesson - Surah Al-A’raf 7, Verse 187, Part 9

يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ رَبِّي ۖ لَا يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَا إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ ثَقُلَتْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا تَأْتِيكُمْ إِلَّا بَغْتَةً ۗ يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

They ask you about the Hour (Day of Resurrection): “When will be its appointed time?” Say: “The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (Alone). None can reveal its time but He. Heavy is its burden through the heavens and the earth. It shall not come upon you except all of a sudden.” They ask you as if you have a good knowledge of it. Say: “The knowledge thereof is with Allah (Alone) but most of mankind know not.”

لوگ آپ سے پوچھتے ہیں کہ قیامت کب قائم ہوگی؟ آپ ان سے کہئے: یہ بات تو میرا پروردگار ہی جانتا ہے۔ وہی اسے اس کے وقت پر ظاہر کرے گا اور یہ آسمانوں اور زمین کا بڑا بھاری حادثہ ہوگا جو یکدم تم پر آن پڑے گا۔ لوگ آپ سے تو یوں پوچھتے ہیں جیسے آپ ہر وقت اس کی ٹوہ میں لگے ہوئے ہیں۔ ان سے کہئے کہ اس کا علم اللہ ہی کو ہے مگر اکثر لوگ (اس حقیقت کو) نہیں جانتے۔

Supplication (invocation) when leaving the Home

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Bismillaahi, tawakkaltu `alallaahi, wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata 'illaa billaah.

In the Name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah, there is no might and no power except by Allah.

(میں اس گھرسے) اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ (نکل رہا ہوں) میں نے اللہ پر بھروسا کیا اور گناہ سے بچنے کی ہمت ہے نہ نیکی کرنے کی طاقت مگر اللہ ہی کی توفیق سے۔

Quran’s Lesson - Surah Ibrahim 14, Verse 42-43, Part 13

وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الْأَبْصَارُ . مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِي رُءُوسِهِمْ لَا يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ ۖ وَأَفْئِدَتُهُمْ هَوَاءٌ

Consider not that Allah is unaware of that which the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror. (They will be) hastening forward with necks outstretched, their heads raised up (towards the sky), their gaze returning not towards them and their hearts empty (from thinking because of extreme fear).

(مومنو) ! یہ کبھی بھی خیال نہ کرنا کہ ظالم جو کچھ کر رہے ہیں اللہ ان سے بے خبر ہے۔ وہ تو انھیں اس دن کے لئے مہلت دے رہا ہے جس دن نگاہیں پھٹی کی پھٹی رہ جائیں گی۔ وہ یوں اپنے سر اٹھائے اور سامنے نظریں جمائے دوڑے جارہے ہوں گے کہ ان کی نگاہیں ان کی اپنی طرف بھی نہ مڑ سکیں گی اور دل (گھبراہٹ کی وجہ سے) اُڑے جارہے ہوں گے۔

عَنِ النَّوَّاسِ بْنِ سَمْعَانَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْبِرِّ وَالإِثْمِ فَقَالَ الْبِرُّ حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ وَالإِثْمُ مَا حَاكَ فِي صَدْرِكَ وَكَرِهْتَ أَنْ يَطَّلِعَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ

It was narrated that An-Nawwas bin Sam'an Al-Ansari: “I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about righteousness and sin, and he ﷺ said: 'Al-Birr (righteousness) is a good character, and sin is that which pricks your heart and which you dislike the people finding out about.

حضرت نو اس بن سمعان انصاری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے نیکی اور گناہ کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا نیکی اچھے اخلاق کا نام ہے اور گناہ جو تیرے سینے میں کھٹکے اور تو ناپسند کرے کہ لوگوں کو اس کے بارے میں پتہ چلے۔
