A Question for Christians ❓❗
The Jews were waiting for three holy persons:
1. Elijah
2. The Messiah
3. The Prophet
Who is the Prophet that the Jews were waiting for?
In John 1:19-23, the Jewish priests came to John the Baptist and asked him:
"Now this was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was.
He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, 'I am not the Messiah.'
They asked him, 'Then who are you? Are you Elijah?' He said, 'I am not.'
👉🏻'Are you the Prophet?' He answered, 'No.'
Finally, they said, 'Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?'
John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, 'I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, "Make straight the way for the Lord."'
Now the Pharisees who had been sent questioned him, 'Why then do you baptize if you are not the Messiah, nor Elijah,
nor 👉🏻the Prophet?'
As we can see, they said "the Prophet," not "a prophet." This distinction indicates that they were referring to a specific, well-known prophet, not just any prophet.
We all know who the Messiah and Elijah are. The Jews were waiting for the final prophet of God, who was mentioned in many prophecies in their scriptures, the Old Testament.
The answer is clear: the only prophet who came after Jesus the Messiah is Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
✅This is a clear prophecy about Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, from the Bible.
