Name Muhammad in the Bible?
In Hebrew, when you read Song of Solomon 5:16, you come across a verse describing a man, and then you encounter the word **מַחֲמַדִּים (Mahmadim)**
The hebrew word *מַחֲמַד* is made of four Hebrew consonants:
Mem – Het – Mem – Dalet.
Now compare it with the Arabic name **Muhammad: محمد** — also four letters:
Mem – Ḥa – Mem – Dal.
The similarity is striking in both **written form and sound**. When you hear the verse recited in Hebrew, you can clearly hear the name **Muhammad** mentioned.
What we see in the English versions is the translation of the word’s meaning instead of preserving the original Hebrew form.
So the question is worth considering:
If the original Hebrew clearly says **Muhammad**, why is that it's meaning translated in English rather than preserving the original name?
