A Shudra is not to be given good advice. Manu Smriti 4/80 says 80. Let him not give to a Sudra advice, nor the remnants (of his meal), nor food offered to the gods; nor let him explain the sacred law (to such a man), nor impose (upon him) a penance.

सापि तं चकमे सुभ्रू: सोमराजसुतं पतिम् ।
स तस्यां जनयामास पुरूरवसमात्मजम् ॥ ३५ ॥
TRANSLATION
