Do not wish for Death

عن أنس قال قال رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم لا يتمنين أحدکم الموت لضر نزل به فإن کان لا بد متمنيا فليقل اللهم أحيني ما کانت الحياة خيرا لي وتوفني إذا کانت الوفاة خيرا لي
It was narrated from Anas (r.a) that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “None of you should wish for death because of some harm that has befallen him. If he must wish for it, then let him say: ‘O Allah! Keep me alive so long as living is good for me, and cause me to die when death is good for me.’ ”
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تم میں سے کوئی بھی کسی مصیبت کے آجانے کی وجہ سے موت کی تمنا اور خواہش نہ کرے اور اگر اسے ضرور ہی موت کی خواہش کرنا ہو تو کہے اے اللہ جب تک میرے لئے زندگی بہتر ہو مجھے زندہ رکھ اور جب میرے لئے موت بہتر ہو مجھے موت دے دے۔

فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِكُمْ ۚ فَإِذَا اطْمَأْنَنْتُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ ۚ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَوْقُوتًا
When you have finished As-Salat (the prayer - congregational), remember Allah standing, sitting down, and lying down on your sides, but when you are free from danger, perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as- Salat). Verily, the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours.
پھر جب تم نماز ادا کر چکو تو کھڑے، بیٹھے اور لیٹے ہرحال میں اللہ کو یاد کرو اور جب اطمینان حاصل ہوجائے تو پھر پوری نماز ادا کرو ۔ بلاشبہ مومنوں پر نماز اس کے مقررہ اوقات کے ساتھ فرض کی گئی ہے۔

قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ۗ انْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ
Say: “He has power to send torment on you from above or from under your feet, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, and make you to taste the violence of one another.” See how variously We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), so that they may understand.
آپ ان سے کہئے: کہ اللہ اس بات پر قادر ہے کہ وہ تم پر تمہارے اوپر سے کوئی عذاب نازل کرے یا تمہارے پاؤں کے نیچے سے تم پر کوئی عذاب مسلط کردے یا تمہیں فرقے فرقے بنا کر ایک فرقے کو دوسرے سے لڑائی (کا مزا) چکھا دے۔ دیکھئے ہم کس طرح مختلف طریقوں سے آیات بیان کرتے ہیں تاکہ وہ سمجھ جائیں۔
