THE SEARCH FOR LIFE ON OTHER . . . MOONS???

THE SEARCH FOR LIFE ON OTHER . . . MOONS???
YES! NASA is studying if they can send a robot to EUROPA, one of JUPITER'S moons! And a BIG reason they are doing this is to search for LIFE!
WHY WOULD THERE BE LIFE ON EUROPA?
Scientists think there COULD be life on Europa because they think it is covered by a saltwater sea, frozen at the surface - an ocean BIGGER THAN Earth's oceans put together!

"And God has created every animal from water: of them there are some that creep on their bellies; some that walk on two legs; and some that walk on four. God creates what He wills for verily God has power over all things. (The Noble Quran, 24:45)"
Scientists agree that one of the best places to look for life in our solar system is to look in water that is like the water on Earth. And even Allah tells us that every animal was created from water!

SCIENCE FOR KIDS - VOLCANOES!!!

SCIENCE FOR KIDS - VOLCANOES!!!
VOLCANOES form when MAGMA - melted rock - pushes up through the Earth's crust. The crust is the hard layer of Earth that we walk on. Volcanoes can EXPLODE when they erupt! A volcano called Krakatoa exploded SO HARD that the force of the explosion went around the Earth THREE AND A HALF TIMES! Some volcanoes don't explode and instead leak lava slowly enough that people can walk away from it! But the lava is still VERY hot and dangerous!

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, lived very near a volcano! The Harrat Khaybar volcano is 65 km northeast of Medina, and may have erupted during the Prophet's lifetime!
One of the biggest volcanoes in the world is in the United States, right under Yellowstone National Park! The ground at Yellowstone is actually RISING every year as pressure builds in the volcano!

SCIENCE FOR KIDS - BEARS!!!

SCIENCE FOR KIDS - BEARS!!!
We have been talking a lot about bears on www.GuideUs.tv so here are some great facts about bears!
Bears are OMNIVORES - they eat both meat and plants! Bears HIBERNATE - they sleep through the winter and this is also when they have their babies!
POLAR BEARS are the BIGGEST bears!
www.scienceislam.com
There are EIGHT different kinds of bears - they are Asiatic, Black, Brown, Polar, Panda, Sloth, Spectacled and Sun!
Bears walk FLAT-FOOTED like people - they can walk on two legs like we can!
In parts of the US and Canada a very special black bear can be found that is almost WHITE - it is called a Spirit Bear! But even though it is light colored it is still a black bear.

LUNAR ECLIPSE TONIGHT!!!!!!!

LUNAR ECLIPSE TONIGHT!!!!!!!
Tonight there will be a PRENUMBRAL eclipse of the moon! This means the moon will look a little darker than normal. The moon will be moving through part of the Earth's shadow, but not the darkest part of the shadow, so we will not see a full eclipse that makes the moon look red.
If you were ON THE MOON, it would look as if the Earth were partially eclipsing the Sun!
