THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT HOW DO THEY RELATE TO ONE ANOTHER?
Christians believe in the Trinity, traditionally described as one God in three distinct persons. But have you ever taken the time to reflect on what this means?
In the Bible, Jesus prays to God, speaks of the Father as someone distinct from himself, and says:
“The Father is greater than I.” John 14:28
This raises an important question for sincere reflection.
If the Father and the Son are distinct, how should we understand their relationship? And how do we reconcile Jesus’ prayers to God with the belief that he is divine?
In Islam, God is absolutely One, eternal, and unlike His creation. Muslims honor Jesus, peace be upon him, as the Messiah and a mighty messenger of God, but do not worship him as God.
The Quran declares:
“Say, He is Allah, the One.” Quran 112:1
We invite you to share your understanding of the Trinity and how you interpret these passages.
Let us discuss this important topic with honesty, knowledge, and mutual respect.
