"47,000 Muslim terror attacks since 9/11." Here's why that claim doesn't hold up. 
1.The source: The number comes from an anti-Islam website, not independent research.
2.The count: It lumps in war-zone violence, and most victims of jihadist terror are Muslims themselves.
3.The scale: There are about 2 billion Muslims. Extremists are well under 0.1%.
4.The double standard: Extremists of every faith say God told them to. Breivik, Kony, Rudolph, and Roof all did, and none of them speak for Christianity.
5. The goal: Numbers like this are designed to make you fear and hate a whole religion.
Don't blame about 2 billion people for the crimes of a few.
