Quran’s Lesson - Surah Al-A’raf 7, Verse 82-84, Part 8
وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا أَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ۔ فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ۔ وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ۔
And the answer of his [i.e. Lout’s (Lot’s)] people was only that they said: “Drive them out of your town, these are indeed men who want to be pure (from sins)!” Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind (in the torment). And We rained down on them a rain (of stones). Then see what was the end of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.).
اور اس کی قوم (یعنی لوط کی قوم) کا جواب بس یہی تھا کہ انہوں نے کہا: انہیں اپنی بستی سے نکال دو، بے شک یہ لوگ بڑے پاک صاف بنتے ہیں۔ پھر ہم نے اسے اور اس کے گھر والوں کو نجات دی، سوائے اس کی بیوی کے، وہ پیچھے رہنے (ہلاک ہونے) والوں میں شامل ہو گئی۔ اور ہم نے ان پر پتھروں کی بارش برسائی، چنانچہ دیکھ لیجیے مجرموں کا انجام کیسا ہوا؟
