Daily Hadith | Virtue of Surah Al-Ikhlas
عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَمِعَ رَجُلاً، يَقْرَأُ {قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ} يُرَدِّدُهَا، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ، وَكَأَنَّ الرَّجُلَ يَتَقَالُّهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهَا لَتَعْدِلُ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: A man heard another man reciting (in the prayers): “Say (O Muhammad): He is Allah, the One.” (112:1) and he recited it repeatedly. When it was morning, he went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about that as if he considered that the recitation of that Surah by itself was not enough. Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said: “By Him in Whose Hand my life is, it is equal to one-third of the Qur’an.”
حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی نے ایک آدمی کو (قل ھو اللہ احد) بار بار پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا، جب صبح ہوئی تو وہ شخص نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور آپ سے تذکرہ اس طرح کیا گویا وہ اس کو بہت کم سمجھ رہا ہے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے قبضہ میں میری جان ہے، بے شک یہ تہائی قرآن کے برابر ہے۔
