Jesus said.."a spirit has no flesh"
Matthew 12:40 for just as JONAH WAS THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN THE BELLY OF THE SEA MONSTER, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Recently, many people and scholars have attempted to rewrite this early history, by claiming that the Gnostic Gospels of Judas and others were widely accepted as inspired by the earliest church, and present a different Christ than that presented by the Apostles and their associates. This is simply not true, as is demonstrated in 1 John, written likely by the Apostle John near the end of the 1st century, where he warned believers not to be deceived by those who "deny that Jesus came in the flesh," i.e. with a physical human body, thereby born as a man while He was God. The Gnostics claimed "special knowledge" that the body that Jesus had on earth was actually a sort of 'spirit body' that appeared solid, but was in fact what we today would term 'ghost-like,' and not solid, etc. They believed that because a stream of Platonic and other Greek philosophy believed that our physical bodies were evil, and that no God of any sort could be born on earth with a physical body because of that. So, this earliest Gnostic "germ" teaching was denounced by John and other apostles (Jude, etc), and the earliest church fathers. These Gnostic 'gospels'' were never considered inspired by the earliest educated church fathers.
Can you read Luke 24:39: Jesus said after they crucify him , dead and buried for 3 days:
"Why do doubts enter your minds? Handle me and see, for a spirit has no flesh and bones as you see me have" Then read Luke 24 :41-43 "have you here any meat?" "and they give him a piece of boiled fish and of a honeycomb, and he took it, and did eat before them "
- Very clear he is not a spirit -NOT SPIRITUALISED , NOT RESURRECTED and yet the whole Christian believes that he was resurrected ...
