How many people were on the straight path, but eventually deviated away from Allah? And we too will never know at what state our heart and imaan will be when we leave this dunya.

The Mother of Believers, Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the most frequent, most repeated du’a that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ever made was:

Yaa Muqallibal-quloob, thabbit qalbi ‘alaa deenik.

O Changer of the Hearts, hold my heart steadfast upon Your Religion.

This was the most common du’a of a man who has been promised the highest level of Jannah, and yet he ﷺ still made this du’a, still asked Allah to keep him steadfast.

So what about me and you? Let us too make this our most frequent du’a as well.

May Allah keep us all steadfast until we meet Him.
