I'm financially independent, easy to talk to, God-fearing, and reasonably attractive. Yet, despite all this, I remain unmarried.
I've spoken to several men over the years. Most of them seemed to genuinely like me, enjoy talking to me, and appreciate who I am. But when it came to commitment, they always backed away.
They're kind people, and deep down, I think part of me is still hoping they'll change their minds one day. I've tried countless times to cut off contact, but somehow I always find myself slipping back into the same conversations.
I can't seem to let go.
The loneliness has become overwhelming. I've almost given up on the idea of marriage altogether.
I still pray, but my heart isn't in it. I struggle to focus. I've even stopped making dua because I feel unworthy of asking Allah for anything. My prayers feel more like a task than a connection.
How do you let go of people you're emotionally attached to?
How do you rebuild your relationship with Allah when loneliness has taken over?
