SINCERITY

A PILGRIM FROM GUINEA RETURNS THE SUM OF 6,000 RIYALS AND A PASSPORT TO A PHILIPPINE AFTER HE FOUND THEM IN A PUBLIC TOILET

HE SAYS: "I CAME HERE FOR HAJJ AND TO STONE THE DEVIL,

SO HOW CAN I ALLOW THE TO STONE ME BY TAKEN THIS MONEY"

حاج من غينيا يعيد مبلغ 6 آلاف ريال وجواز سفر إلى فلبيني بعد أن وجدها بدورة مياه ويقول: "جئت حاجاً لأرمي الشيطان فكيف أجعله يرميني"

Hadith on Sincerity:

Good will and honest intentions protect from malice, deception

Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri reported:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

“There are three traits by which a believer will not be deceived or consumed by hatred:

sincerity in deeds for Allah,
offering good will to the Muslims,
and keeping to their community.”

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلاثٌ لا يُغِلُّ عَلَيْهِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُ إِخْلاصُ الْعَمَلِ لِلَّهِ وَمُنَاصَحَةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَلُزُومُ جَمَاعَتِهِمْ

Hadith on Sincerity:

Allah accepts no good deeds unless they are sincere

Abu Umamah reported:

A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said,

“If a man battles for the sake of reward and fame, what do you think he has?”

The Prophet said,

“He has nothing.”

The man repeated his question three times

and the Prophet said, “He has nothing.”

Then the Prophet said,

“Verily, Allah does not accept any good deeds unless they are done sincerely and in pursuit of his countenance.”

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا غَزَا يَلْتَمِسُ الْأَجْرَ وَالذِّكْرَ مَالَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا شَيْءَ لَهُ فَأَعَادَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَقُولُ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا شَيْءَ لَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَقْبَلُ مِنْ الْعَمَلِ إِلَّا مَا كَانَ لَهُ خَالِصًا وَابْتُغِيَ بِهِ وَجْهُهُ
