Asiyah alaihy assalam was undergoing

the most severe torture any person

could imagine.

Fir'awn was the greatest

tyrant ever to walk the earth. He wasn’t

just a ruler over her. He was her

husband. And in her final moments,

Fir'awn began to brutally torture her. But

something strange happened. Asiyah

smiled. She was going through one of

the most severe hardships any human

being could experience, and yet she

smiled.

How is that? How it is that she could be

tortured and smile. Subhaan 'Allaah

Ibn Jabir recorded, "The wife of fir'awn

was tortured under the sun and when

fir'awn would finish the torture session,

the angels would shade her with their

wings. She was shown her house in

Jannah. She smiled and so Firawn used

to say, "Look how crazy she is!!"

[At Tabari 23:500]

And then she made this dua,

"My Lord,

build for me near You a house in

Paradise."

In this duniya, when we are searching for

a house, we make sure that we have

good neighbors around..

But when Asiyah alaihy assalam said

⇨"build for me near You", she made sure

she had the Best of all the best of

neighbors :') Subhaa' Allaah
