US MUSLIMS AND THE WHITE HOUSE 2025
Regardless, of all opinions,
or political differences, Donald J Trump has now been officially sworn in as
Unfortunately, the (mostly self-appointed) religious leadership of the nearly six million Muslims in the USA, have a very “narrow and subjective” agenda for building an inclusive vision, and a clearly defined relationship with the White House, or the other three hundred and twenty million US citizens.
These leaders, who are
for the most part, Arab and Asian immigrants, their religious organizations,
and few splintered political action groups, with essentially, the same ethnic makeup, have just four objectives in their agenda to the White House.
1- Ending the war in Gaza, and the inevitable creation
of a two-state solution for a Free Palestine.
2- Promoting new legislation to counter the very active wave of Islamophobia and anti-Arab hate.
3- Opposing legislation, which acts with prejudice and negativity towards Muslim immigrants in the US
4- Working to preserve the “status quo” tolerance, for the idea, that Islam is the third religion in the US.
Beyond these very narrow and subjective points, there is nothing that serves as a basis for the future growth and participation of the Muslims in the USA.
There is absolutely, no proposal or articulation,
for social responsibility, healthy social activism, or the road towards social empowerment for Muslims.
There are no propositions,
for Muslims, with their personal and tangible resources, to move “beyond religious teaching and preaching” to develop real initiatives towards, industry, technology, and finance.
There are no mentioning
of the need for Muslim intellectuals, professionals, and business people
to create a national “think-tank”, to cooperate
with other similar initiatives throughout the country, and
to develop a “worldview”.
There is no proposition
to create a template for leadership of the Muslim communities, which could
be adopted on a municipal, state, and regional level, which could lead to to a structure of transparent national leadership and representation.
There is no unequivocal inclusion of the leadership
of Black, Latino, White, and Native American Reverts,
whose growing number is nearly three million, or 40%
of the entire population of Muslims in the US.
The Muslims in the USA,
have inherited all of the constitutional liberties, that
distinguish their American citizenship, but they insist upon acting within the narrow and subjective framework of their ethnic and immigrant origins.
This is the reason why,
I have labeled the present mindset as “narrow-minded and subjective”.
This is not to be harsh or critical, but to make an honest examination and a diagnosis, leading to a clear prognosis, and inevitably,
a proper treatment .
