Do you want to know what real jihad is?

It's what our brother Jihad al-Suwaiti from Palestine did. When his mother was diagnosed with COVID and denied visitors, he would climb the hospital wall and sit outside the window, giving her company every single day, for weeks, until she fell asleep.

She passed away recently, may Allah have mercy on her, and bless her son for a true jihad. As the Prophet ﷺ said when a man came to him and said, "I want to do jihad!!" he asked him, "Are you parents alive?"

The man replied, "Yes."

He ﷺ answered, "Then in their service, do jihad."

During these ten days, do what you can for your parents. If they are still alive, call them, and do something to bring happiness to them.

And if they have passed on, make du'a for them, and give charity on their behalf.
