Allah is 'al' 'ilah'. 'al' means " The" and 'ilah' means 'God'."Allah" is an Arabic word which literally means in English
'the God'
Muslims believe in the one Creator of the Universe, referring to Him as “Allah” which is the Arabic word for “God”. In the English language He is most commonly referred to as “God”. In fact, many Arab Jews and Arab Christians call God “Allah”. And the word “Allah” is written in Arabic Bibles . Example "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except Allah alone. Luke 18:19 (see in Arabic version)
فقال له يسوع لماذا تدعوني صالحا. ليس احد صالحا الا واحد وهو الله
Some non-Muslims mistakenly believe that Muslims worship a different God than the God of Moses and Abraham and Jesus peace be upon them. This is certainly not the case, since the Pure Monotheism of Islam calls all people to the worship of the God of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus ,Muhammad and all the other prophets, peace be upon them.
God describes Himself: Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,Allah to Whom the creatures turn for their needs. He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none like Him.” (Quran, 112:1-4)
Muslims believe in one, unique, incomparable God, Who has no son nor partner, and that none has the right to be worshipped but Him alone. He is the true God, and every other deity is false. He has the most magnificent names and sublime perfect attributes. No one shares His divinity, nor His attributes. No one has the right to be invoked, supplicated, prayed to, or shown any act of worship, but God(Allah) alone. God alone is the Almighty, the Creator, the Sovereign, and the Sustainer of everything in the whole universe...
There is no God except Allah.
