How great is the act of fasting, and how many are its virtues! Fasting is a means of forgiving past sins, and it is the only act that Allah the Exalted said about:
"It is for Me, and I will reward it." Can one imagine the reward of the Generous, the Exalted?
O fasting person, rejoice, for the changed scent of your mouth is more beloved to your Lord than the scent of musk. How could it not be? It arises from obedience to Allah, the Most High.
How great is your joy, O you whom Allah has guided to fast, when you break your fast and when you meet your Lord.
How fortunate are you with the intercession of fasting—can the intercession of any deed compare to that of fasting!?
And congratulations to the fasting ones, for their Lord has honored them with an act of worship that protects them from the Fire, and for them, in Paradise, there is a special gate—the gate of Ar-Rayyan. https://www.islamweb.net/en/ramadan/
