A common claim… but have you actually compared them?
• The Qur'an often corrects biblical narratives rather than repeats them. It rejects stories of prophets committing adultery, incest, and drunkenness, presenting them as righteous examples.
• Jesus' story is also fundamentally different. The Qur'an rejects his divinity and crucifixion while affirming his miraculous birth and prophethood.
• Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was unlettered (unable to read or write), and there was no complete Arabic Bible available in 7th-century Arabia. In fact, the need for a complete Arabic translation of the Bible arose after the rise of Islam, as Arabic became the dominant literary language—not before.
"If you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like it." (Qur'an 2:23)
For over 1,400 years, no one has successfully met this challenge.
