Everything around us raises profound questions. We observe stars, galaxies, planets, and the vast universe we inhabit. But one of the deepest questions remains:
Why does the universe exist at all?
If the universe had a beginning, what explains that beginning? Can the universe fully explain its own existence, or should we consider whether its ultimate explanation lies beyond the physical universe?
Science helps us investigate how the universe evolves and what happened in its early history. But the philosophical question of why anything exists at all invites us to think even more deeply.
In Islam, the universe is not regarded as existing without a Creator. The Quran invites humanity to reflect:
“Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]?”
Quran 52:35
This verse raises a profound question about the origin of human beings and the reality of creation.
Belief in a Creator is not a call to abandon reason. It is an invitation to examine the evidence, consider the possibilities, and reflect on the ultimate explanation for existence.
We welcome thoughtful answers, sincere questions, and respectful discussion.
