Assalamualaikum .dear admin can u please quote verse from Quran n gve a brief explanation that 'y r v suposd not to hav d food dat is prasad frm temple'..i want to make my famly undstand.they hav it whn offerd by their non muslm frnds.
Allah says in the Qur'an not less then four places .
Al-Qur'an ch 2 Verse 173, ch 5 Verse 3 , Ch 6 Verse 145 , Ch 16 Verse 115 " Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah"
Why Harram ? Allah says that why its harram (Allah know the best ).
We are not allowed to eat any food on which any one name has been taken other then Allah its prohibited in Islam. I know there are some people what they do 'say'"Bismillah" and eat the prasad , Tomorrow if some one offer Pig meat ? Alcohol ?etc... Harram , Once Allah and his messenger made it Harram means whether some read the "Bismillah" or not its Harram , Kabira Sin(Gunha).
There is a Religion(so called) . Name its not in my mind , there every thing is Allowed , Wine , pig , even adultery(zina) with any one .
I asked this question to many people , who say that " We live in society , you know having prasad nothing wrong , other wise friends will get offend".
Can you eat Pig , Can you do Zina , Can you allowed you daughter and son to do that ? not do offend your friends ?. they said no ..no ..you see that very extreme but Prasad....
Muslim means "One Who submit his will to Allah " , Muslim live to please Allah( creator) not to the creation . Muslim is the person who follow the Qur'an and hadith .
Allah says in the Qur'an ch 4 Verse 135 "O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.
Allah know the best !!.
