PROSTRATION — A SIGN OF TRUE WORSHIP

Throughout the messages of all prophets, one powerful act of worship appears again and again: prostration (sujood) — complete humility before the One God.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“You see them bowing and prostrating, seeking bounty from Allah and His pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration…”

Qur’an 48:29

This verse beautifully describes believers whose worship leaves a spiritual mark — not pride, but humility, peace, and sincerity.

The Qur’an also reminds us that all prophets called to one God:

“We worship your God, the God of Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac — One God, and to Him we submit.”

Qur’an 2:133

And across earlier scriptures, we see the same pattern of devotion:

True worship is not status or appearance — it is the heart falling in humility before the Creator.
