Why does a dying person choose Sadaqa, if he asks to be left to live a little longer???
As it says in the Quran,"My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous." [Quran, 63:10]
He doesn't say Umrah nor Prayers nor Fasting.!!
Scholars say that the dying person chooses Sadaqa due to the great effect it has (on his scale) after his death...therefore, we should increase in giving charity because a believer will be under the shade of his Sadaqa on the day of judgment....and the best Sadaqa you can do right now is to share these words with an intention of Sadaqa. Whoever implements them and teaches it to the next generation, you get a compounding reward in-sha'-Allah.
